Loan Administrator

Position: Loan Administrator
Location: Soperton, Georgia

Job Summary:

The Loan Administrator (Assistant) supports the lending team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties aimed at assisting the lenders in gathering necessary information and documentation for loan packages. This position requires in-depth knowledge of various loan options, strong documentation and compliance skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex files efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist loan officers with processing loan applications from start to finish.
  • Collect, review, and verify applicant documentation (e.g., income, credit, identification).
  • Prepare and assemble loan packets for underwriting and approval.
  • Input loan data into bank systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Track and follow up on missing or incomplete loan documents.
  • Prepare disclosures, closing documents, and post-closing follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan files (digital and/or physical).
  • Act as a liaison between the bank, loan officer, and borrower.
  • Answer borrower inquiries regarding loan status, documentation, and timelines.
  • Provide support throughout the application and closing process to ensure smooth customer experience.
  • Schedule loan closings and coordinate with title companies, attorneys, or notaries.
  • Order appraisals, credit reports, verifications of employment, and flood certifications.
  • Review closed loan files for completeness.
  • Submit completed loan packages to loan operations department.
  • Monitor for outstanding items like recorded documents or final title policies.

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office software.

 

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in loan assistant or loan administration role in a lending organization.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative support role in banking, legal, real estate or other related field.
  • Familiarity with banking and loan software is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Bank Teller

Position: Bank Teller

Job Summary:

Georgia First Bank is seeking an outgoing, professional, hardworking Bank Teller to join our team in Soperton, Georgia. Our tellers are crucial to our operations, providing the first impression of the bank to our customers and playing a key role in their banking experience. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering top-notch customer service while efficiently handling transactional duties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers promptly and providing friendly, efficient service to ensure a positive banking experience.
  • Answering customers' questions about their accounts and bank services.
  • Assisting customers with account management, including helping with account balances, transaction history, and service charges.
  • Conducting various financial transactions for customers, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Cashing checks after verifying the signature and ensuring sufficient funds are available in the customer's account.
  • Counting, verifying, and managing cash drawer amounts at the start and end of shifts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all cash transactions are balanced at the end of the day against receipts and the bank's computer system.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or recommend banking products and services that fit the customer's needs.
  • Cross-training in other areas of the Banking Center to provide comprehensive assistance and support to customers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Cash Handling Experience in retail/sales is required to indicate capability in managing transactions accurately.
  • Previous Teller Experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking software and applications used for transactions is preferred.

Lender

Position: Lender 
Location: Soperton, Georgia


 

Job Summary:

The Lender position is responsible for originating, evaluating, and approving loans in accordance with the bank’s lending policies and regulatory guidelines. This role involves interviewing applicants, assessing creditworthiness, structuring loan terms, maintaining strong customer relationships as well as processing all loans. This position plays a key role in supporting customers’ financial needs while managing risk and ensuring portfolio quality.

Lender Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with loan requests (application, new loans, and renewals).
  • Evaluate loan applications, financial statements, and creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Provide tailored lending solutions to meet client needs.
  • Perform underwriting on all personal portfolio loans.
  • Manage and maintain personal portfolio of loans per individual goals.
  • Quote NADA value on autos.
  • Complete loan denials as needed.
  • Complete MV-1 and titles
  • Prepare letters of credit and guaranty
  • Call for payoffs and secure proof of insurance and any other documentation needed.
  • Monitor loan performance and manage risk.
  • Order appraisals and perform internal valuations when necessary.
  • Manage Past Dues – work past dues to ensure that customers are making payments on time.
  • Follow up on loan exception documentation in a timely manner.
  • Loan Processing – prepare all documentation according to bank policy.
  • Participate in community events to promote the bank.
  • Support the centralized TRID processor by processing all overflow TRID loans when necessary for all locations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in lending in a bank or other financial institution.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience with loan processing in a bank or other financial institution
  • Preferred experience in real estate and mortgage processing.

 

Required Skills & Abilities:
